You own your information, not we.
We do not and will never use your contact information for anything other than what you can see with your own eyes when you use Origon.
Only people you are in a list with on Origon can see your contact information.
Other people on Origon can only look you up and add you to a list if they already know your contact information.

Privacy policy

1. Storing data

We store your data on our servers when you create an Origon account or somebody registers you and adds you to a list on Origon. Your data is updated on our servers whenever somebody updates in the Origon app. We store only as much data as is necessary for Origon to function properly.

2. Sharing data

We never share your data, including your email address, with outside third parties.

We may disclose your information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal requirements; to exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud or abuse, violations of our policies; or to protect our rights and property.

3. Contacting you

We will only send you email for the following purposes:

To invite you to join Origon when somebody registers you and adds you to a list.
To send you the activation code you need to activate your Origon account when you sign up.
To send you the activation code you need to change your identifying email address on Origon.
To notify you that somebody has modified your email address when you are listed on Origon, but have not yet signed up yourself.
To reset your password if you forget it.
To respond to any feedback or support emails you send us.
To notify you of important matters pertaining to the service provided by Origon.

5. Security

We take security seriously and use several measures to protect your data. All communication between the app and our servers takes place using HTTPS. Passwords are never stored on our servers. Instead, we use a modern, secure password hash. If you ever forget your password, we cannot send it to you; you will need to reset it.

Only people you are in a list with on Origon can see your data. Other people on Origon can only look you up and add you to a list if they already know your contact information. Only you can see all your list memberships.

Although it is theoretically possible for us to read your data, we do not have a mechanism in place to do so, and we will not create such a mechanism unless legally ordered.

6. The future

We have no plans to sell our company or Origon itself, but plans can change. We reserve the right to sell to, buy, merge with, or partner with other businesses. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets, but if it is, we will state so publicly, and offer you the opportunity to delete your account.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy. If we do, we will post those changes on this page and update the modification date below.
